First off I wouldn't call any A level rider a "hack". I wish I was that good LOL . Now to your question....It sounds like either bike 2010 Race or the 2011 Six Day bike will get the job done for ya. You sound a little like me but a lot better rider. Bike looks are very important and the better they look the more I like. BTW I happen to love the looks of the new 12's. But then again I own two Husky's and think they look good. Of the two you have your eyes on I like the 2010 Race better. The six day bike looks good but I think the stock 2011 EC looks better. After I saw a pic of the 2010 Race I wanted one now I gotta have the 2012 GG. If you want I can email you some pics of my 2010 EC300 that I will be selling. Good luck and I think you wil be very happy on a GG.

Welcome to the site. Gasgas is at the forefront of 2-stroke technology, and along with KTM, you can't get a better bike!

Gasgas IMO have amazing lines and have really stepped up the looks over the past couple of years. The '10's were amazing looking with the black plastic and red rims, but I think they struck gold with the '11's. Best looking bike out there.

Sounds like an '11 250 Six Days would suit you well. Quicker revving than the 300 and loaded.

Good luck.

I'd get the race. The black and white is sweet and I think the race comes with a spares kit.

I'm going to bring some tight ass to the table.. Buy the bike that gives you the best bang for your buck.. The are essentially the same bike in different colours. The 2011 has the revised headlight and front fender. Thats where the differences stop almost.. Depending on which suspension package they shipped.

My 2010 Race/Euro Black and White 2010 headlight runs the Ohlins 888 Rear and Sachs 48mm front. I've been stoked. Not sure what the 6 Days ran up front if it was mixed 45mm zokes and 48mm sachs.. Something to consider.. Both work well..

So in saying that get the one thats been maintained the most, least hours, best stiffy giver, at the lowest price! You won't be disappointed..

Welcome. I have to say first of all i'm with you on the 2012, very Huskyish looking. Not sold on it yet!

Myself, I love the looks of the 2010, they look very robust and I love the shape of the front fender.

I agree with Chad. If I get one of the 2012 bikes the first thing I would change is that KTM front fender. These beautiful bikes would look even better with the 2010/2011 white front fender. The shape is much more sexy and the white would giver better color balance IMO.
