Clay it's simply awesome to actually get an answer to a question like that. I appreciate you letting us know what, when, why, and how things are being done in the GasGas world. Proud to be a GasGas owner. Thanks.

John,
You are welcome.
The Japanese companies make a bigger deal out of "bold new graphics" than Gas Gas does on major changes. It's pretty funny trying to drag this info out of them sometimes. I'm trying to get them to beat their own drum a little more. Hopefully the information flow out of the factory will be a little better in the future.
When you guys want to know something, please ask. I sometimes forget to.
Clay

They do a horrible job on this.
Nambotin won the 2009 ISDE. You think they would put a decal on their bikes, "ISDE Champion". Or, WEC Champion.......

is the magura clutch likely to be standard on the 2012 models?

Whats wrong with the AJP? How can you beat the feel of the current setup? I like the nylon bushing in the lever, and the master goes a lot longer before a rebuild is needed than the Maguras on my KTM ever did. Fix the basket/PP and leave the master cyl alone, JMO.

Supply/$$ issue maybe.

Saw it in the flesh today, STUNNING, if I had 8000 + English pounds kicking about, She'd have been mine.

I agree with GMP, the stock unit on my 2010 GG300 has the lightest smoothest pull of any clutch I've ever used.

I have a drawer full of AJPs, its the first thing to come off the bike. I prefer the magura, and would love to see a 9.0mm magura on all the new bikes.

So, if any of you guys get a bike with a magura, just sent me a PM and I would be happy to swap.

The second AJP master cylinder on my new scoot works fine, which is more than I can say for the one it came with. The one on my Beta works flawlessly, but if I were to weigh quality of the piece on the machining work I'd have to say Magura is spanking them pretty hard. I'm not too impressed with the two new ones I've been inside of.

No complaint on the action though. My persnickityness is limited to the m/c.
