Default suspension differences on 2011 us models?

Anyone have or know of a post or link that explains the differences?

I'm coming off a 2006 ktm 200 with terrain tamer forks that I love, and I'm shopping the gasgas 250/300 for a new or lightly used 2011, I want a smaller bike.

Not sure what fork/shocks the different models have or which work the best, I'm a b/c trail rider with no intention of going faster

There are used 6day 250/300's around, and new 300's with magic butttons that I really like.

The very early 2011 standard models had a 48mm Sachs fork and a Sachs shock. There were twenty 300s and twenty 250s with this suspension. The Race models have a new 48mm Maraocchi fork and an Ohlins 888 shock. Everything else (standard models, e-start models and Six Days models) all came with a 45mm Marzocchi fork and Ohlins 888 shock. The Ohlins 888 shock is good. Honestly the 45mm Zoke fork has a harsh spot in the middle of the stroke but it can be fixed by a lot of suspension tuners. Pretty much all of them are undersprung for larger Americans.

What springs for a 205 pound rider?

The 6day 250 I found has been revalved, and has zonked/ohlins on it
