KYB rear spring and XTrig pre load collar
I changed to a new spring and put an XTrig preload adjuster on. When watching this video it says to make sure the smaller end of the spring faces to the top of the shock.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wLZLcElWb7E When I put the smaller side of the spring up, the XTrig does not properly fit inside the spring. When I put the larger end up, everything looks like it fits ok. Is it Ok to put the larger end up? Should I put the small end up and continue to add preload and hope that the tension on the spring forces it into the XTrig? I had it all together and was starting to put preload on and noticed that the spring was compressing but it wasn?t sitting properly against the XTrig. At this point I did not have a lot of preload. The first picture is with the small side of the spring up like it says to do in the video. The second picture is the bigger side up |

The second picture is correct.
I just installed a new spring on my bike. Both ends were the same. But, did come with a sleeve for the bottom of the spring. |
