Default Two "Don't Miss" Races Back to Back

Here's a shout out to all of the off-road racers (and those who might want to be racers) out there who want to sample some of Michigan's best hare scrambles action.

Battle Creek Motorcycle Club (home of this spring's TasteTest) hosts the next round of the D14 HS series Sept 19, and these guys never fail to deliver a national caliber event. Sand, loam, roots, some elevation, a little moto and overall fantastic racing.

Valley Trail in Bentley, MI plays host to an off-road only race Sept 26 on a mostly sand-based, all-woods trail. The club keeps things organic (no endurocross ) and mixes flowing trail with virgin woods for a tough but very raceable day.

D14 harescrambles (http://www.ama-d14harescrambles.org) uses MotoTally transponder scoring so results are posted only minutes after the races wrap up. Two and three hour classes for solo riders, teams, youth, even old guys.

Look me up if you come Sunday!
