Default bearings / hubs

Being lazy and kinda hurried before the wknd
Can I put my 06 front wheel on my 01 with a bearing change? Hub the same?
I believe I can. I just dont remember and I need a tire for my 01 and i have a fresh one on my 06 spare. time seems to be getting away this week prefer a wheel swap over a tire swap
Thanks
Stoby

Bearing and internal spacer change needed to match different size axels.

let me start off by saying i could sure be wrong here.. but..

i tried to swap wheels between my 01 and 07.. the 01 wheels with 07 bearings would fit fine on the 07, but the 07 wheels with the 01 bearings would not.. the bearings were thicker on the 01 and there was no room in the hub for the seals.... could not find a thinner bearing either with that size axle..

it has been a while...

You are correct, dyslexic (sp) this morning got years backwards. The newer hubs have a more narrow bearing bore. Thats why the '01 hubs, with '07 bearings and seals(pressed flush) have a larger gap between bearing and seal. I have modified '01 wheels I'll try and take a pic.
