Default gasgas 125

Was there any news from gasgas in Italy if they will be using the husky engine on a future 125?

I Hope Not!
The gasgas Engine is a copy of the Yamaha yz motor and it is quite good.

I'd take a Husky 125 engine over any made. If GG uses the Husky there is drop on 144 and 165 kits for them.

When I can get the money I need, you can hve mine

By the way, to convert the husky into a 165 is a lot of work and no plug on solution

Elvis I had a Husky 125/144/ and a 165. I bolted my 165 on in less than an hour. It is a true bolt on and a excellent one at that; not a lot of work at all. My 14 year old grandson has it now.

I've bolted Walts 165 kit onto a mates WR125. Very well thought out. Kit comes with everything you need. As simple as pulling the old jug and piston. Changing a few PV parts from the old cyl and putting them into the new one. Bolting it back together. Tolerances were spot on too!

No problem Elvis I just wanted to let the GG guys know they would be in for an easy treat with a 165 kit. Walt the guy behind the 165 did say not so easy with the pumpkins.

George Erl of Uptite racing had a 167cc kit for huskies. IIRC it wasn't as good as Walts 165 kit and required splitting the cases.

As far as I'm concerned, that little 125 husky buzzbomb is simply one of the best little engines ever. Simple, rugged, reliable and good power.
