LTR jetting kit for an '03 EC300
Bought a new (to me) '03 EC300 last week. Rode the bike some last weekend at our clubs hare scramble. Definitely need to make some jetting changes as the bike won't idle and it is fat in the midrange.
I have an LTR "jetting kit" that I bought for my '98 EC250 and also ran on my '01 XC300. This is one of the first kits Les sold and has the "first generation" needle. It worked great in both the '98 and '01, although I had to use a leaner pilot jet in the '01. Will this kit work in the '03 or should I spring the coin for a different needle? |

Bill,
The original kit had a leaner taper needle. My '03 250 ran flat with it, but the 300s need leaner jetting anyway so its worth a try. Be on the lookout for lean conditions. Being the bike (carb nozzle) is a few years old and the needle even older, wear may be a factor and throw things off as well. |
