Fill the compressed fork leg without the spring in and fill it to within 90 to 110mm of the top, air gap can be varied as an adjustment, other threads on here about this if you search. Volume of oil is about 600cc per leg.

Yeah need to clarify if yours was a race model with the closed cart zokes, or the open chamber.

For the open chamber as described. Spring out, fork compressed, and then measure the air gap. I'd measure the gap on them before draining the oil and then setting the fresh oil the same if you were happy with the bottoming resistance. If you want them a touch stiffer add more oil, softer add less. Just make sure you stick within specs (can't think of them off the top of my head but I thought around 90-140mm).

On the sachs is the oil height measured from the top of the inner tube or from the top of the outer tube pushed all the way down? There is about a 5mm difference

Yea are OC zokes. Standard 300. Wish i had the 48 mm but ill get an upgrade when i buy a new bike in spring. I weight 275 so im gonna add extra this time to help bottoming. Ive had them revalved and sprung so i just wanted to get the oil real close. Thanks for everyones input.
