Head count so far:
Roscoe +1
Hydrodog +1
Rick
OregonPamperaRider
Me, plus my brother in law to help lead/sweep the crew.

What we will do at Shotgun will have plenty of stops. A group of 8 is big, and keeping us all together will be paramount. If there are folks that are getting bored (not likely) or struggling (quite likely) we can modify or split our group. We'll have a riders meeting before departure.

Who's got a headlight that might be in for a Friday night ride? It will be a blast. The first night ride I've ever done was prior to the WA GG get together & it was a hoot.

Roosta..... I think Jerry, Jeff C, me would be in. Danny boy? I could bolt from my kids baseball game ready to roll. (7pm)

Just thinking.....

Jeff, I'd love to as I have many items to turn a pitch black trail into daylight. Unfortunately we will be down far to late on Friday night to join you.

Have fun!

Hey Mike,
Just wanted to say thanks you and Dan for setting up a great ride for us on saturday and letting us take home 10 pounds of that red clay mud.

Big thanks goes out to Mike for hosting the the ride over the weekend.

I logged 1042 miles on the GasGas transport vehicle and I rode about 70 miles total.

Mike and I rode on Friday, up at a place that had more mud puddles than dry dirt??? Had a good time there.

Saturday......several lessons learned. ShotGun

1. PNW Riders are very, very skilled!

2. Trials rear tires do work!

3. Dan is the MAN

4. Maxis IT rear tires SUCK in the wet, moss covered rocks.

5. Nor.Cal suspension setting are too stiff for PNW woods.

6. Small Douglass Fir Tree's smell very nice

7. Steep wet, rutted clay hills are a bit$h when combined w/ a Maxis IT

8. Keep KTM riders behind you Unless it's Dan....no stopping him....with or without a front brake.

9. Goggles......enough said!

10. 35 est. trail miles in 7 hours....enough said!

I had 511 miles back to Lodi, Ca to pounder the weekend...all smiles, Saturday was EPIC

It was very cool to meet everyone, Hydro, Roscoe, and I know I am forgetting a few.....yea...those guys on Orange bikes.

Thanks....I had a really great time well worth the road trip.

"8. Keep KTM riders behind you Unless it's Dan....no stopping him....with or without a front brake."

This is worth explaining: My brother in law, Dan (vman screenname) at one point on the trail broke the keeper pin, and spit one front brake pad out of his caliper. He then took his front brake lever off and proceeded to ride the rest of the day. It's a good thing he did too, because I needed him to help me negotiate some of the trails since there's been some logging in the area and I didn't remember where some of the new trails started.

Dan is an animal. Good thing he rode that XR 75 as a kid with no regard to the front brake!!!!

Really, Dan is one of our top A riders, and is a hoot to ride with.
