I wonder if the cans were the same dimensions and could swap the internals of an older Turbine core II

No I think the Stealth cans are bigger volume and maybe a bit longer = more packing. That's one reason they're quieter. I don't know if they changed the plumbing in there. Haven't seen one yet.

What would you gain doing that? Might as well keep the TC II

Can on the Stealth is definitely larger in diameter. Almost looks like they took a 4 stroke can and welded a 2 stroke stinger on it. Ran my bike through the tech at the race and blew an 83. Only bike quieter was a KDX with the stock silencer. Next time mine and my buddies bikes are together again I will try and get some pictures, maybe pull them off and see how far off the stingers are.

Even if that did mount on the older bikes, it wouldn't clear my tire. The TC2 gets hit by the tire and the Q would get demolished by it. I wish it did fit because my bike blows 94-96db.

I have one coming tomorrow and unless it's a TOTAL PIA it's going to fit one way or another on my '05 MC.

May have to add or move tabs on the subframe or move the tabs on the can. Tire clearance should be easy enough to deal with, but we'll see I guess.

I'll post up some pics successful or not...

Here are a couple of more pics for you guys wanting to fit the Stealth to pre-'07 bikes:

O.K. here are some pics of how the FMF Q Stealth hangs off the standard subframe on the pre '07 bikes. These pics were taken on my '05 MC 250.

Here it is hung off in stock mounting position. The front tab on the subframe is out too far. Causes misalignment side to side. The can must sit at a lower angle on the '07+ bikes because the inlet tube is at the wrong angle to marry up to the stinger on the pipe. The swaged end on the inlet to the silencer is also very slight bit too small. It won't slide over the stinger. The newer pipes must have a slightly smaller stinger. Maybe an excuse to get one of those new stlye Gnarlys. Still would have to rework the angle on the inlet though I guess.

Here is shot from the rear showing side to side misalignment with can in "stock" position.

Here I zip tied it to the back side of the tab on the front hanger. That fixes the side to side misalignment. The larger dogleg on the inlet pipe allows for adequate tire clearance. I have a 120/100/18 on there and it clears fine.

Here's a shot of that last pic above from the rear.

.
It does not look like too much of a big deal to move that front tab a bit or you could even just bolt the hanger to the back side of the tab on the subframe like I had it zip tied. Then it's just a matter of strategically cutting that inlet pipe to realign it.

My plan is to replace the swaged end on the inlet pipe with a chunk cut from an older style silencer since the angle has to be changed anyway. I don't think it will be much of a deal.

I am sure there will be a bit of grinding to do on the number plate as well, but I can't figure that until I get the silencer on there.

The silencer on mine is definitely not at that much of an angle, it's an '08.

rpduc.
I don't know if that sub frame will handle the extra weight/ mass of the Q silencer.
