Default p3 carbon skid plate

Hi all,
just wondering if anyone had any experience with one of these-
https://www.gasgasracingparts.com/sh...250-300-2018/#
Im just wondering how it would compare to the other options on the market such as the enduro engineering skid plate and the stock plastic one.

thanks in advance.

Josh

I have the p3 pipe guard and the quality is great but if you using p3 sump guard I hope you don’t ride anywhere with rocks because it will look terrible in no time

I ride a lot of rocks and like the plastic ones better. Look at the axp the tm one looks awesome and there are also the Hyde ones

I agree with Matt. Can't see carbon holding up well in the long term unless if you're just a fire trail warrior. I like the plastic ones. Light, quiet, and tend to slide over things vs getting hooked up.

I ripped the stock plastic 13 one in half on a rooted stepdown on about my 3rd ride. The p3 has been on it for 150 hrs and its held up well.yes its a bit scuffed but no cracks/holes.it doesnt have a cutout for oil change.

Interesting. I have the front plastic welds torn open on my stocker (where it comes up around the stator and water pump) but underside is still good as gold, and that includes hitting a few things hard enough to reshape the frame rails..

I used the Hyde combo plate for years. I was having issues with denting the side rails and main frame rails. I added a 1/4 thick hdpe plate to the bottom of the Hyde plate and had some mounting tabs welded to the frame. I beat the tar out of that setup for three years and had no new dents or bent rails or need for another pipe. Both that frame and plate are for sale btw.

You can’t compare the stock Tupperware with a Hyde or tm guard.

The nice thing with plastic over alu is that it slides over the rocks
