Default Scotts Stabilizer frame bracket question

08 EC300
When I take the steering head nut off there is a plastic piece that fits over the steering head.
Does the Scotts frame bracket fit over that or do you remove it?

Thanks

You will get a shortened steel collar included with the bracket. I also added an o-ring under it for better sealing.

Thanks, so I won't need the plastic one.

Not as long as you got the one from Scotts that replaces the plastic one as GMP said.

The one I got from Scotts didn't fit on my bike. Make sure you fit everything before you modify anything. I ended up having to buy a new stock dust cap for mine.
