Default gasgas radiator cap pressure

hi guys.
I recently lost my radiator cap while green laning on my 2015 ec200.
I purchased another one easily enough but when I put it on my radiator I noticed the "1.8bar" sign. ive heard from a few people that, from standard they come with 1.2 or 1.4bar caps. can anyone shed any light on this? if they do come at 1.4bar will the 1.8bar do any harm?
any help is much appreciated!

jack

My 2010 is 1.2 bar the 1.8 cap you have will raise the temperature your bike will boil at (a common mod for guys riding slow technical climbs etc) which is a good thing but it may (pretty unlikely IMO) result in popped gaskets or burst water pipes due to the higher pressure before boiling

We actually had a guy burn both his legs because a cooling pipe burst out in the woods. 2-3 degree burns, waited 2 hours before the mountain rangers could travel half way the distance to get him out of the woods (with heavy sedatives, he traveled as a passenger on another bike the other half to get to the mountain rangers).

Be careful guys, this is not something to overlook.
