Default Flywheel weight on a 2010 ec250?

So I was looking to add some fly wheel weight to my 2010 ec 250 and was told it allready has the heaviest fly wheel possible?? I was told to look at the position of the wire coming out of the bike and if its in the 10 o clock its the lowest one , but if the wire is in the 2 o clock position I am at the heaviest?

Thoughts??

There is a lot more inertia in the 2K-3 than in a 2K-2 with the heaviest weight. I suggest trying a G2 throttle with a #200 cam and/or some jetting work if you feel its not smooth enough. Eventually you may even want less weight.

As above.

You can get a heavier flywheel weight for the 2K3 if you want to. There is nothing or no one to say whats right or wrong.

Typically though, people who are adding weight are running the lighter 2K2 ignition and flywheel which as Glenn has said has less inertia even when decked out with a heavy weight. I've got a 2K3 and want less weight, but its all personal preference.

What are you trying to achieve? What have you already tried?

first thank you everyone for your replys, part of owning a GG is this forum and the helpful and polite people!!

I will give the G2 a try after reading about it!! My biggest issue is I am racing woods and there is TONS of sand which I have to stop due to other riders ( ME FALLING!!! ) Wet rock/ Muddy areas and I am finding I am spining the rear tire to often on those but importantly the rocky Climbs..

Hey, I know its been a while, but i'm in the same position as you and am looking into additional flywheel weight. Which one did you ultimately go with, and how did it work out?

I used the S3 and think it's great.

But as GMP has alluded, others will not like it and want less weight, not more! If you're a racer and want hit, this is not for you!

But for torquing up nasty hills and such without stalling, I find it works well.
