Default Gotland Grand National, largest clubman event in the world?

It has now been one week since this event, I am slowly getting all my gear cleaned up.

This year there were 2285 riders racing, im my start (3 minuts in the clip)almost 900 riders blasted off at once. It is a mighty feeling, I can tell you that.
It's a three hour mudfest, I got 5 laps, a total of 110 km on 3h 41mins.

The starts:

The full WEC Gasgas team is there, both Cervantes and Figueras is starting. Unfortunately, the the webcast is ended before the pro start. Shame.

Do look out for no 460,

How did it go with your GGN race this year?
I ended up as #211 in the above 50 class. I am a quite slow as you understand, but next year I'll try to improve.
I hoped to do 4 laps, but managed only 3.

Still climbing in the ranks, #177 out of ~600 in the 40-49:ers, up from #223 last year.. Still got a bad start, two riders in front of me did not get their bikes started immediately, so I ended up coming to second corner 2 minutes after top riders, due to all the congestion. Then I had to do a pit stop on first lap to switch goggles, also lost a few minutes there.

It was overall nice conditions, not too muddy, execpt for the "Horse shoe" area. That was all a mess this year, with water almost reaching over front wheel, but you know that

It's that time of year again, and the Gotland Grand National is one week from now.

I'll be there, again in the above 50 class. My number this year is 1194.

There will be live coverage on Swedish internet television:

Default A new personal best!

This year I reached my goal of doing 4 laps at the 22km course at Gotland. The race is 3 hours long, and my average speed was approx 19 km/h. Compared to the overall winner, Pierre Alexandre Renet from France, that is quite close to half the speed of the winner.

I ended up as number 243 out of 311 finishers in the above 50 class, and as number 1929 out of the 2446 participants that made at least one lap and got their name in the final results.

I know, I'm a slow "racer", but it's still great fun.
The bike with new Michelin S12 tires, mousses, Lectron, Kyb forks and all, performed flawlessly for almost 4 hours thru the mud and over the limestone.

What about the other Scaninavian racers here? Where did you end up?
