Does your bike have a battery? Yes = no rectifier / no= use rectifier

Another thing to consider: Even if you have a battery, using the separate rectifier will put the fan load on your AC windings. This will prevent the fan load from running down your battery.

Hi, I have a 2011 EC300 E (electric start) and I'm planning to install a fan and I think is a good idea to have a DC source parallel to the original sistem so the fan will not drain the battery, that is possible?

Yes, just hook up the rectifier input to the AC wiring (yellow plus chassis ground). Connect the rectifier output only to your fan through a switch. If you use a thermoswitch make sure it has two connection terminals so that your circuit will be isolated from ground.

Default Add Fan Question

This is kind of a dumb question but I want to to mount a fan on my 84 RM 250. I am going to use a Spal Fan with a switch. This is the stator before restoration. My stator only has the two AC wires. Do I need a new stator with dedicated power source wires? Like in the video below,

You need a stator with a lighting coil.
Your current setup won't support the fan.
