The Gas Gas lump looks to be about 10lbs of extra weight.

From what I can tell, it apears the starter motor itself is the same as the 450 FSR, thats the good news.

The bad is if down the road you need to replace it its listed at nearly 400 bones.

Thanks for the pics Steve!
Good thing. Gas Gas can't afford the problems that KTM has gotten away with. It better be reliable from the get go.

It makes you wonder what the design was before KTMs patent had its toes trod on.
And these 'blinged' 200 have caught my attention also, I could easily be talked into some factory bling...

Perhaps if people preorder it, you could make a kit that includes such things? if they preorder, and you over produce by say 10%, then you dont run into the trouble you had with the rekluse, where there was alot of talk, but when it actually got here, sales were slow. that kit would be very handy if someone wanted to convert their gasser.

I'm late to the party and missed the photo. I thought a big problem with the KTM was the dry interface of the starter parts, is the GG the same?

Skidad's comment is 100% correct, and also the main reason we have not seen a GG 250F motor go into production.

A tricked out 200 for a good price does sound interesting.

You might have to take a trip to Australia to get one though.....not sure what USA has asked for in their model.

I think the key here is that this electric start is going to be 15 lbs of extra weight that works, unlike the KTM which is 15 lbs of extra weight and doesn't work as designed.
