Default Newer plastics on older Gasser do not fit

Hello folks,
so I fitted some 05-06 plastics on my '99 GasGas. But sadly, the clearances/gaps do not make me happy. On the left side it's kind of ok, but on the right side, the angle where the fender and the numberplate meet up is just off and it doesn't look right. Why is that and do I need to buy a 05-06 subframe to fix it?

Your subframe may be bent.

Thats what I thought in the first place. But my rear fender is perfectly straight and not twisted or anything. So im not quite sure.

You can always make the mounting holes bigger in the fender and push it down some.

Ok, thanks for your help. I enlargened the holes, but it barely did something. The whole angle of everything is completely off.
But I do not see why - seat, fender and airbox line up with the subframe, subframe fits the frame.
May I have gotten faulty plastics? or maybe there is the need to switch to a newer subframe.
Tomorrow I will try to put the old broken plastics together and compare them to the new ones

I feel you have issues with your subframe, up to 2006 should be a direct swap. You might need to manhandle that subframe to bring it back into shape for fitment.
