Strange looking TDC (EC250F 2012 Six days)

Hello!
I need to adjust my valves but the flywheel has a strange looking TDC mark.

the first one looks like this: |--|

and approx 5mm further there is another one that look like this: |



Which one should I use?

Pull the valve cover and go with the one that has the cam lobes pointing outwards (and slightly upwards). Its just a Yamaha engine, and Yamaha owners manuals are everywhere. From memory the I mark is TDC, but you should be able to confirm as above, by lining up the lobes and the timing marks on the cam gears (if you haven't pulled it down already).
