Default Kickstand question...

I've read lots of people have had issues with the kickstand. I have a 13 300 and went in a ride today. Everything was all good with it and a little into the ride I went to put it down and noticed it was VERY hard to extend. I had to push it down with my hand and back up. I sprayed some penetrating oil on it when I got home and was going to pull the bolt but it will not budge. Anyone have any insight? Is the bolt loctited in there?

the bolt often tends to work loose, and then bend, so yes there is a good chance its loctited.id try and free the stand with more penetrating oil,and leave the bolt alone if poss as its obviously staying tight.its possible you have bent the bolt and thats making the action tight but most likely its gummed up and the penetrating oil will free it.

Or the bolt could have worked loose and is now bent and that's why it won't come out.

I'm thinking the bolt is bent. I sprayed some more penetrating oil on it today and no luck. What's the best way to get the Ben bolt out?

Give the bolt head a couple sharp taps with a drift/punch taking care not to munt it.if the action is still stiff id extend the stand then try unbolting as you fold stand up.ie-turn bolt with both wrench and stand anti clockwise at once if you see what i mean, otherwise you will most likely need to apply heat to bolt head with a butane/oxy torch,be careful of paintwork, plastics and alloy.
good luck...and dont forget loctite on the new bolt
