03 Gasgas fse450 rebuild.

Hi everyone. This is my first post, although I have been looking/lurking through the forum.
Ok, so I thought I?d go off road after many years bopping about on uks finest roads.
My problem! I bought a 2003 Gasgas fse 450, runner, needing a ?little tlc?!!
Ok, I can do this 😉 So. Service kit, second hand fuel injection pump, new headlight, bit of rewiring, new set of fastenings, the usual.
Oh, she won?t start 🤯 look here, look there 👀 and now it?s seized. Ok, beyond me? pay a man!
Sam is a lovely man doing all he can to help! Everything checked n ok, slightly out of time but no damage 😊 But!
The sealant used on the water pump ?obviously? as useful as butter?.
So here goes!?.. Does anybody know where I can get 1 😂😂 no, seriously! 🤨

It isn't clear what you are needing...

Water pump cover? Water pump impeller? New engine?

For engine bits - many parts are interchangeable with a suzuki drz400. They used this motor as "inspiration" when they designed the gasgas fse engine.

There is a 450 fse being parted out on e-bay (USA) right now. It looks like most of the "motor bits" are still available. I see water pump cover and the impeller appears to be on the end of the counterbalancer that is listed.

Hi Jeff. Thank you for your reply.
I have the bike with a mechanic and he is rebuilding the engine for me. Everything else is ok, other than the water pump ?seal?.
I did see the fse in the states being sold.
I have always worked on my own bike but this stumped me!
Leave it to an expert at this point.
Friday he informed me he has found a water pump in Slovakia for ?80.
Hopefully we are moving forward but I will keep you up to date.
