Yes, I almost bought a Husaberg instead of my GG because of those diferences. When Clay announced the 2011's Race would equip with Marzocchi CC I simply ditched the blue KTM.
My comment earlier were for the 2013 models in case rumors are true.

I heard that at the KTM dealer meeting last year, KTM management said that they recognize that some people disliked KTM because of their strength so they were bringing in 2T Husabergs for those riders. I thot that was a pretty strange statement.....almost as if customers were too dumb to know those bikes come from the same company. No matter what color they are really good motorcycles but ours is still better!

That right there is a check mark to the positive"Why buy a Gasser".....the accessibility of the importer/distributor and how much he contributes to this site and puts his phone number down! KTM does make a good product no doubt...I just don't care for the Indian involvement. I think the word you wanted was "SEXIER"

Think less of me if you want to, but KTM's marketing worked for me and I a long time Husky rider, who couldn't bring myself to buy "Orange" bought a Husaberg TE250. I might have bought a GG EC250, if they got here sooner and there was a decent dealer closer to Central NY.

I think they brought in 300 or so bikes and sold everyone of them so it certainly worked. And as I said....they are good bikes. There is no doubt that there were a lot of potential GG customers that bought other brands because we were so late. I'm also working on a new dealer near central NY.

I waited and I love the bike. Only downside is some mid season setup and tweaking, but its the closest stock than any bike I have ever had.
