After a few rides here in NZ I now know what you mean with mud. Bike would end up tons heavier and clay mud gets everywhere (even used to bring a few worms home in it!), sticker kits being rubbed through in a matter of rides. that was part of the reason I sold I could see the maintenance going up and with limited time to ride, less time to maintain and old seals that have enjoyed a long life in dry climate I figured sell and when I find a friendly farmer nearby I can buy new or by dualsport (think NZ exploration is due)
And enjoying the trials riding (also tubeless lol). Went for a good fun trials busy bee session yesterday and feeling the effects of lockdown today

Yep! Mud is hard on the gear.. But so worth it too!

Chains and sprockets cop a flogging. Disks and pads both cop it too. Any that works its way into seals can cause weeps and leaks.

As a bonus, the air filter stays relatively clean though

I replaced the rear brake disk and pads. The disk has been with me for a long time. I think (although not 100% certain) this is the first time I replace it on this bike (270 hours). Minimum thickness limit is stated as 3.5mm, mine was 2.5, so it was time for some work there. The old disk was Galfer, the new one is NG.
The new pads are named Delta DB2310. Delta is a brand unknown to me, but sold by the Norwegian GG importer. Developed in the Netherlands, produced in the Czech Republic. Seems OK.

I did this season's first club race! Finished second out of four in the Veterans 50+ class. Very happy!

I was also among the organizers. As Norway lifted some more of the Covid-19 restictions on Monday, we selected to run the race on Wednesday. Now, we are allowed to have 200 persons at one event, provided we keep a distance.
We were 24 participants total, and perhaps 50 spectators.

Thank you, Doc.
Saturday was another race, this time it was the opening round of the NESS (Norwegian Enduro Super Series). Wonder were we got that idea from
180 racers, young and old. They even had a 60+ class! We were 6 participants in that class and I ended in 4th position in the end, after 2.5 hours racing in dust and heat. Quite happy with that, actually.

Checked the air pressure in the tyres for the first ride tomorrow since this Covid bullshit kicked off

Added 927 to the fuel drum for tomorrow I've been loving running Castor in the yard equipment during the lockdown, but it's time to snort some whilst I'm brapping through the forest
