Default Looking at '99 EC200. Anything to know?

found a local '99 EC200 for sale. Has new FMF exhaust and is very clean. I was trying to figure out what suspension that year had and if it was a counterbalance engine or not.

Any concerns on that bike?

should not have a CB engine, no 200 came with one, and only a handful of 99 250's had them.. and if your lucky it will have the WP 43 inverted forks.. it will have a ohlins shock..

Thanks for the info.

From the picture it looks like USD's, so those would be the Zokes then.

Great looking bike for a great price. I am thinking about it for my son to replace his KDX.

I also want it to secretly ride as well and it will look good along side my DE300.

Oops. Never mind. Conventionals.

I know those Zokes were not well thought of were they.

some feel they are some of the best conventional fork ever built. you can put any front end on it you want. just takes dollars.

aside from brakes, front end and wheels it's basically the same bike till 05

Not sure if I am to late to offer advice but I have the 99 250. I love the bike even with the conventional fork. I rebuilt it this winter and planned on replacing the front with a Suzuki Showa unit based on the advice of other here. I ran out of budget so I just rebuilt the congenital zones. I have to say that for my riding style (slow and tight and rock, rut, and roots) the zone work great as long as you take the time to set them up correctly which I never did before this year . Now it feels like I am riding a brand new bike!
