1st question - how the heck did you manage to get out on Xmas morning...lol.

That just looks cold, though I'd be right there with you

Haven't checked Google yet - where is that area?

We did the whole "family" thing Christmas Eve, so the kids could spread out to different friends & relatives Christmas day. My kids are grown & gone(Yeehaww!). Tahuya State Forest...Closest area to me. I imagine there's more than 100 mi of trail(lots & lots of S/T). Tahuya is home in the winter, followed by Walker Valley.

Hoping to have my bike back together in a week or two. Doing a fresh topend for next season and getting the head cut and squish cleaned up.

Sounds like a winter group ride could easily happen!

Hood River is also awesome this time of year and I know the area well.

I have ridden Nestucca several times, but am guilty of always following my brother. It's well marked and I have a map, so really no problem. Also a fun place this time of year before snow flies.

Love Tahuya and rode 30+ miles of singletrack last January, but had a local show is the way since no trails were marked and no map. No puddles the whole day either!

Bill, you have the old gasser back together yet?

Lol! Not yet. She's clean & shiny. Got a good pile of fresh goodies for the chassis. I won't tear down the motor 'till I can afford to take it as far as it needs to go. I'm afraid bits will vanish. I still would like to source some new plastic, but have serviceable stuff, for now. Sept.-Dec. is a super busy time of year, for me. I haven't touched a motorcycle, but once, since Oct. Between the GG & my street bike project...I have to allocate funds carefully. Mostly, I've just been too busy for either.

Here's a carrot to get her together and ready to rip - already booked to go out 11/23 assuming we're not in a monsoon I have a couple of guys committed and we can either hit Nestucca or TSF. I have a great GPS log of trails from being led around Nestucca earlier this year, also have the loop out of DM as well as several from Jordan Creek.

bowhunter - be fun to get out when you're down in this neck of the woods, or when you get your bike back together and feel like playing leader in your area

I can't wait to get out and ride again...like going through withdrawals...lol.

I don't mind leading, but my last "leader" outing earned me a broken toe, not to mention a head-on Neither would have ended the day, but the actuator spring came undone...resulting in no downshift(rode out in 4th). I always have something to ride...sort of. Good times!

I'm in Brad if my parts come in by then. Hoping that's going to be the case. Sent my head out to guy inTennessee.

Would love to ride for sure.

I bought a 2010 GG 300 and have been to Hood River twice and Gifford Pinchot on it as well as the foothills above Battle Ground. I really like the feel of the bike. I saw that 200 for sale but get in trouble when I start collecting. Hope to meet more GG riders in this area. We ride Tillamook, at Browns Camp and Diamond Mill.

Welcome liv2day, where are you located?

I can't make the 23rd, but am ready to get out soon! Love Nestucca...

firfighter, have you been to Scotts Mills yet? Want to check that out sometime, too.

If anyone can get out during the week, let me know!

Jeff

Sounds like a Nestucca trip is brewing!

Jeff, haven't been to Scott's mills yet. Heard it's pretty small.

I can do week day rides as well.
