Default 2018 ec250 cdi swap
Gents,

Does anyone know if I connect a 2012 EC250R CDI in my 2018 EC250 for a spark test cause any mapping problems later? Lost all spark in my 2018. Disconnect kill switch and no spark. Tested spark plug cap with Ohms meter and looks good.

Want to use the 2012 CDI just for Test.

Buddy has a 2018. Plugged in his CDI and fired first kick.

That sucks but also doesn't, you know what's wrong. If you cant find another an Ignitech may be the path forward but not plug n play.

What's the part number? My 19 just went tits up, had a good one from my 18, different part number. Plugged it in, fired right up. Mapping must be different cause it just wouldn't run clean. Guess I'll have to bite the bullet and order a new one. $350

The flywheel is different on the '19 bikes. So the CDI is different too.

This spare is from a 18. Won't work with my 19. I think it's the CLK-1
