Default Frisian/Dutch EC300 rider :)

Hi,

Thought I introduce myself,
My name is Binne, live in the North of the Netherlands and last year I've bought a Gasgas Ec300.
Super bike, everyone recommended a KTM dus I don't like 12 in a dozen bikes.
Never regretted my choice
Before te Ec300 I owned a Kawasaki KDX200, which is pretty rare here in the Netherlands.
I'm not a professional rider, just for the hobby.
4 years ago I've went to the Czeck republic with my KDX, my first real offroad experience

And now I usually do some offroad scrambles here in the Netherlands, not competition wise, just for fun.

Hoping to gain some information on this forum, and perhaps some riders near me.

In a few weeks we'll be heading for Bilstain in the Belgium Ardennes

Welcome to the forum!
I am in Norway.

Strange to see a yellow EC300, the yellow ones were usually 125cc or 200cc.

Been to Norway this year with my car (made a round through baltics and scandinavia)
Wish I had my bike with me.. so many beautiful trails

How are the laws in Norway for riding through the woods/mountains?

In the Netherlands its almost as illegal as killing someone.

The previous owner changed the plastics to yellow from a 200.
Personally I like it better then the blue plastics

Here in Norway, we have a law stating that motor vehicle usage in the nature is illegal, but there are of course some exceptions. To comply with the law, you have to have a enduro licence, be a member in a club, and only ride designated tracks (usually close to MX tracks) during the club's opening hours. Locally, we have a small area that is fully legal and regulated for this type of use, and also some tracks that are not :-)

And is there much surveillance on offroad riders?

Thinking about next year going to Norway again an probably take the Gasser with me

Yes, people have been fined. And the fines are high here.

You are welcome to attend our race in the autumn! the Kongsberg Grand National. We have classes for all sorts of racers, from beginners to experts. We have had one dutch competitor the last two years, but he is not riding a Gasgas.
