replacement front wheel for ec300

Hi all, a while ago I trashed the front wheel on my 2001 ec300, I'v been looking for a original replacment for some time and cant find one in the uk, will another wheel of a different bike like ktm ect, fit, I still have the spacers and spindle, thanks in advance for any help revieved

None of the big 5 have wheels that will lace up to your hub because every 3rd or 4th spoke comes out of the hub in the reverse direction when compared to a wheel for a KTM or jap bike. I found this out when I called a U.S. distributor of EXCEL rims. He did think there was one other European bike maker that uses the same rims as GasGas but I don't remember which one.

My wheels say DID dirt star on them (06 EC 250). Can't find the manufactures website though.

thanks for the speedy reply, just some more info that may help, I dont have the hub as that was damaged, so what i was really asking, is there a wheel of another bike that will fit instead, as ec parts are quite rare in the uk, thanks all again
