spark arrestor
i just fitted a slip on silencer to my EC 250 and it came with a spark arrestor but i didnt fit it. is there any reason to fit it other than it stops bits going out the end of the pipe. any performance gains or losses?
ps. i did a quick search didnt find what i was looking for. thanks |

In the US they are required to ride in USFS land (BLM) and in just about every OHV area; fire protection. Only go without at a private MX track; those bikes are set up to hit the power different so a slightly shorter silencer can give slightly more top end/over rev. Try to get the sparky to work, it's the best thing to do. Maybe call the supplier and find out why it doesn't fit?

If you don't need it by law, you don't need it.
