Default I have an ICO Pro Comp

and am happy with it. I got it for under $150 on eBay.
My buddie has the Watchdog. Also a nice unit. One thing though is that the ICOs will auto calicrate to the course markers. The Watchdog doesn't do that (at least from what my buddy can figure out). I find that to be a nice feature.

I think the Watchdog is easier to use during a race becuase you get more info in a single display. With the Pro Comp, I have to switch displays to get the same amout of info.

The ICO Checkmate would solve that, but the Watchdog looks like a tougher unit.

In the end, they are all pretty good. I went with the Pro Comp cuase I could get one cheap and wasn't sure how much I'd really use it. I races all last season and got quite abit of use out of it, but will probalby only be able to make one or two races this year (long drives and gas getting $$$).

Cheap may be a stretch, how about less expensive?
