Default Pw50

Hello all. Just wanted to pick your brains about a pw50. My buddy and I are looking at one tonight for his son and was wondering if there is anything I should look for. Money is an issue or I told him to go with a Osset(sp) trial bike, but he can't swing that. That in advance.

Very basic. Great bikes, but they are slow to respond to throttle. Light kids will be surprised by the acceleration, big kids will get a touch bored. Understand there is a second gear hidden in the transmission, instructions are on the web to access the gear.

All of the basics come into play, make sure the oil pump is working. Fun little bikes, and the cool thing is that you can raise the rear shocks an inch and also raise the seat an inch. Both of those functions help adapt the bike to the kid (or adult).

I'm buying an Oset for my son, when the time comes. I have been seeing some screaming deals on pws, $5-600 in Minnesota right now. Not sure how mechanically sound they were though.

Good to know thanks guys! Pulled the trigger on it, guy had trouble starting it so we got a nice deal on it. He was just short stroking the kickstart, we can fire it up easily.
