And Lampkin went to GG. Musical chairs. I guess I don't really care, since I own both GG, Beta and one of those ugly pumpkins, so I guess I'm covered.

Too bad, Cody was probably one of the three fastest guys in Endurocross. He is so smooth that it looks like he is going slow even when he is turning the fastest lap times on the track.

Latest Trials and Enduro news, Cody says he approached the new GG distributor about support with Endurocross and didn't get much response? Guess he got an offer from Beta he couldn't refuse. I talked to Dale M. a little right after he won the U.S. Nationals and Dale was stoked. I'm sure he hated to lose Cody.

I am sure there is more to this, but Clay is supporting a ton of guys and can only give so many bikes away. Perhaps Cody should have been in contact earlier before all the bikes were spoken for? Maybe his demands were too rich for GGOR?

Another issue is that he rides trials and enduro and there are 2 different dist for each style of bike in the US. Trying to make a deal with 2 different people is a lot harder than just picking up a trials and enduro Beta from American Beta.

Not true! I talked to Cody's father, Kip, and to Cody and told them I would give Cody two bikes and parts for next year. He said he would get back to me and then I hear Cody was on a Beta. I just saw the article in T&E News and on the Cycle News website. I called Cody to talk about this and got his voice mail. I called Kip and he said that Cody didn't feel I was making a concrete offer. I felt I did make an offer. We agreed it was simply a misunderstanding. I fully intended to help Cody. I have a "Support Rider" spreadsheet and had Cody listed for two bikes for 2011 and did not remove his name from that sheet until last month, after the Beta contract was signed.
Anyway...I guess in the end it was poor communication and I hate that because I would have liked for Cody to be on a Gas Gas.
Clay

Just talked to Cody and he said that when he saw the article he thought "That isn't how I meant to say that" or words to that effect.

Well we all know that if it's in print, it must be true.

If you don't have a taker for Cody's bikes, you could loan them to me. Somebody has to finish last at Endurocross and it might as well be me.
