'12 Rear Suspension Linkage Bushing/Shaft/Axle
I took apart my rear suspension linkage to give the bearings a check and when I took the two bushings/shafts/axles out (of the frame and the rocker arm) I didn't pay close enough attention . They appear to be the same length and size but one is tappered at the ends and the other is not.
Which one goes where or does it matter? |

The tapered sleeve should go in the frame pivot because that uses the seals, so its a lead in taper. That said, you will be better off pulling the seals and replacing them with orings while you are in there.

Thanks Glenn. I knew I could count on you. I'm sourcing the orings now.
Everything was actually pretty well lubed in there which was a surprise to me from reading what others on the forum have found. |
