'97 EC 250 will a Rekluse Clutch fit?
I'm due for a new clutch and want to install a
Rekluse on my '97 EC250. The model years listed by Rekluse run from '00 to '11. Anyone know if the clutch for the '00 will work on the '97? |

It will work in a 97', but you will need to make a spacer for the clutch cover. A side by side comparison of the OEM and Rekluse clutch cover will show that the 97' cover is deeper, but still not deep enough to fit. A spacer will only need to be a few mm's deep to allow the clutch to function properly. I have fit my Rekluse from my 12' into my 97', to find this out. I just didn't want to mess with making a spacer for it. I luckily found a Dyna ring auto clutch from a member on here that is local to me.
