1999 ec250 info

ok guys,new to gasser world,kdx rider.opportunity to ge '99 ec250. son will ride, good rider kdx was fine but change is good. What do i need to know. heard rumors about tranny. how about parts. etc. any and all info appreciated.time is an issue, deal moving forwrd fast

I have a 97 and 98 which are bullet proof. They made no real changes from 97-99 so it's the same bike. Parts are not really any issue anymore since the GoFaster boys are now running the show with parts distribution. As long as the price is good and the bike is not beaten it would be a nice jump from a KDX. I did the same thing rode a KDX 200, upgraded the engine to a 240 rode and then hoped on a 97 250. It did everything right that my Kawa did wrong and made me get rid of my kdx very quickly but I will say that the motor was ripping compared to the KDX mellowness. Good Luck!
