Boysen and V-force carb boot ?
I am in the process of cleaning up the 06 which has a V force reed system. I took the carb off and found the carb boot and clamps to be subpar. Then I compared the boot with the one off of my 03 and it seems to be a little longer. Maybe only an 8th of an inch. Is there a diff part # for the two. Are there any crossover parts from a honda cr-250 or such?
Is anyone else having problems keeping the carb boot sealed up properly on their bike? I have had problems on my 03 and 06. I ordered the two seperate clamps instead of the chincy double clamp to see if it helps. |

No problems on either of my 300s. I would have a problem if I remove the reed block spacer.

Can someone post a pic of their reed block spacer. I'd like to see what one looks like. Do you have to run a different carb boot to allow for the smaller space?
