Default 2007 FSR450 - good bike?

Hello,
I have a chance to buy a 2007 leftover, and I would really appreciate any advice. Have most problems been sorted out with that model? Any idea what a fair price would be (out the door)? Do the 2008-2010 models have significant improvements to warrant spending thousands more? Is parts/aftermarket parts availability a problem, and will the bike have high maintenance costs? Is there an economical solution for the hard seat? Any other considerations?

Thanks

I had an 03 for a few years. As a trail bike it was like good crack! Almost too much fun and I couldn't get enough. As a race bike, not so much. There is really no need for hop ups on this bike and the stuff you do need is easy to find. I would love to have a new one some day. Good luck.

At the GasGas dealer show Fred Hoess said the 2010 450fse was night and day different from the 2007 model. He had raced the 2010 450fse to a first place finish in his class the day before.

I have been riding my 2007 FSR450 since I bougth it new in april 2007 and it has run like a clock. No problems have come up! I have ridden over 6 or 7000 km and I am amazed with this bike. I do not race, only typical enduro riding in mixed tight and open trails.
