big advantage Öhlins 48 fork to Shiver 45?
May be I can buy a new öhlins fork.
Is there a huge difference in dumping between a GG stock 48mm Öhlins or GG stock Marzocchi Shiver 45. Year 2008.Tuning assumed!!! Is it like day and night or only like BMW and AUDI. I know the Öhlins is a CC. But what is the biggest pro and con for a relative fast amateur enduro driver?(no crosstrack) Is it worth to invest in such tuning?

From the many previous threads I assume you have not been able to get the shivers to work for you? It can take a bit effort if you are doing it yourself but I believe the shivers can be made to work well.
Are you expecting the Ohlins to work perfectly for you "out of the box" ? My thought is don't give up on the shivers too soon!

No my zokes 45 becomes better and better.
I'm on the right way. I have some time and this is a hobby for me. And I don't think the Öhlins work "out of the box" tuning is a premise!!! But my be there is big change in suspension.

I understand what you are saying. Before I purchased my EC250 I rode a demo EC300 that was equipped with Ohlins forks and shock - it felt great and that made me decide to buy the GasGas. However ,the bike I bought had Zokes 45s and Sachs shock, and I was quite dissappointed in the feel. It has taken a while and lots of fiddling but I am very happy now.

Like you as you know i have had fork issues. I believe my shivers are now working well; but; Recently bought a EC300 with full ohlins. Ride out yesterday and took both bikes 1998 EC with 07 Shivers 2007 EC with Ohlins In a nutshell the Ohlins work far better rutted corners insertion was spot on. Tight stand up corners turning in far better. Fast sweeping corners more stable. Swapping between both bikes the ohlins are far better. Although it may not be just the forks making the 300 feel good to ride it may be the whole package.

My Ohlins 46's part # 111527. Are, despite being sprung a little soft for my weight, .45's for a 210 pounder, the best offroad forks I have ever riddin stock or modified bar none. The only downside being short service intervals and the price of replacement service parts. $180.00 USD for bushings alone, ouch!
