Man Steve, that must of really bummed you out.
Keep your head up, there is always next year!
look at the bright side, you were there in Chile and saw 6 days first hand! You qualified to compete in the Olympics of off road motorcycling. Most will never even have that opportunity

Roscoe

Maybe the last tank of fuel didn't get the pre-mix? Volunteers handling the fuel?

What main jet are you running?

Let us down! Are you nuts?
The fact that you qualified and made it there, you earned my respect.
Keep your head up and now go pit for your team mates.

You did not let me down. I could only dream of even going to watch an ISDE.
Just go back next year and give them hell!

So since you are not racing go get a camera and find a nude beach and take pictures for us!

Sorry about your bad luck. Melted ring lands? Please tell Geoff Nelson that Rick Riede is cheering for him and that I am looking forward to riding Dr. Demento's with him when he gets back.

Remember, this event is meant to take you out. The fact that it happened is sad, I feel your frustration. Gosh, it sure is tough to DNF, especially due to a mechanical. Even getting an invite with your team is a huge honor. Wear your helmet with pride man. Or retire it 'till next year. You'll do great next year, hopefully with no sand. Don't forget to extract all the experience out of this ISDE you can and use it for next years quest for gold.

Well, I'm back home now (had a week vacation in Colombia after the ISDE). Just wanted to say thanks again for all the support. Only 10 months until Greece...
