Im a bit late to the party but i used the same thing seen in the video and it works wonders on the fmf gnarly. i use the same method too just the scratches get filled with the black stuff. I can post pictures if you want

would have posted faster but i was at school also i used a better camera to get some nicer pics, but um they are too large for the site... so i put it on my drive:

also i did not polish the whole pipe as you can see, but it is very effective. you can even see me in a few of the pics

Cleaned up a pipe today, before and after pics. Just some Mother's metal polish and a powerball wheel on a drill followed by a towel buff. Good to go.
