Default Front caliper crossover

Hi! Does anyone know what calipers and CARRIERS cross over onto the 06 ec300? The sliding pins on both seem to be at an able and I'm getting horrendous drag.

Also, could anyone please take a picture of their brake pins, or tell me whether they should be 100% perpendicular to the alloy body? Can the caliper pin and carrier pin be replaced?

Would be nice haha!

Can you confirm that the pins come out dead straight?

Looking at it again, it looks as though the points I'm which the rear pad rests are not in line with each other, going to have a proper look at work tomorrow and perhaps mill them flush. If it really is this, some bad casting on nissins behalf

Both pins should run perpendicular to the caliper bracket. You should be able to just replace both pins and the rubber gromets. I would bet that a Honda CR250 from the same era would interchange.

I'll get a picture in the morning. Both pins are nicely in line, its just that rear resting face that looks off to me. I noticed when pulling the lever that the caliper flexed lengthways and not axially. If this really is the case then every owner of my bike until now has had terrible brakes until the rear pad wore a slope... Will let you know and add pics later!

I'd been getting brake drag on my '06 since I bought it. Strip and rebuild with seal kit etc etc... Couldn't get it sorted. I eventually worked out that the previous owner had installed the front pad springs in the rear caliper and vice-versa. They look about 'right' installed the wrong way around and it's not all that obvious until I bought new pad springs that are clearly marked 'front' and 'rear' ! Work fine now, no more brake pads worn at strange angles and no drag at all.

I've found powerhouse automotive provide a good service for brake parts, even obscure trials stuff.

earlier cr calipers will fit but not the carrier as I have both bikes and I some times nick the Honda brake as I had trouble with the gg master cylinder.
I buy my pads from a Honda mx shop

Front pad springs? You mean the stainless sliders or am I missing something here?
