Default Boots

My son and I both wear a 14 boot. I bought a pair of Moose Racing boot that seemed pretty good an were on sale as well. He liked them so I'm giving them to him and looking for a different pair based on my experience with these. My gripes are mainly that they don't have much feel for up shifting. I also sprained my ankle while wearing them. I don't blame the boots for the ankle after all maybe if I hadn't been wearing them it would have been way worse but if there is a good boot out there with excellent ankle support and good feel for shifting I would like to know about them.

With size 14 feet you don't have many options.

I had a pair of Joel Robert Replica SIDI (the Hi-Point replica). Size 49. Fit great, but had really zero ankle support. I liked the SIDI fit, but unfortunately, they no longer cater to the large sizes.

So, I bought a pair of AStars Tech 8s. Good and bad. The fit was surprisingly good. The sole is not very durable. I've worn my A-stars 7 times, and the sole is already torn up, and that is just trail riding. When the sole is totally trashed, i'll have them resoled with SIDI TA soles, and then I'll be good to go.

A hammerhead shifter, sized for your foot, will change your life.

Happy wife? Isn't that similar to military intelligence and jumbo shrimp?

What I realized that with that gender, one is never "happy" and there is no such thing as "happier." There are just levels of unhappiness. "Happier" is just really "less unhappy."

Once I figured that out, things ran much more smoothly.

Size 14 kind of goes along with 6'6". The scary thing is my son just turned 15 he wears a 14 and is already 6'4" and just starting to grow. I will probably get his boots in a year or so because he will outgrow them. While he is a size 14 I'm making it a point to buy him nice hunting boots as well as nice motorcycle gear.

You can get Alpinestars in larger sizes often really discounted. Here is a 15 in Tech 8 for $140 if they still have them. http://www.genuineaccessories.com/Cl...ars_Tech8.html

Float around there site, they have lots of them on sale. They are the best boots out there according to my A rider buddies.

Unfortunately they were out of the 15s but they directed me to another website http://www.extremesupply.com/product...ESG10BOOT.html and I found these and ordered them in a 14. Thanks for the help, hopefully these will do the job.
