Default 2001 Gas Gas EC250

I just picked up a 2001 EC250 with low hours for a decent price from a guy I trust.

One of the things he said that probably needs service is the fork seals and dust wiper. He tore the dust seal on one of the legs when he was removing it to try cleaning out the seal with a business card since it was weaping. He managed to remove some dirt from the seal and it is not weaping now but the dust cover is damaged.

He said that if I were to replace the dust cover I probably should look at replacing the seal as well.

My question is how can I determine which forks are on the bike. He seems to think they are WP forks but I see there are Marz and Ohlins forks that were used in that year as well. Would like to know for sure before I order parts.
