USA sources for Reiger springs, zoke .48s or .50s
Saw some older post looking for spring sources, did anyone find any in USA.
Or know what springs will fit on the Reigers used on the newer 300's up to 2017s. Maybe KYB, etc? Anyone know the stock Reiger spring length and ID, with that could possible match something. Just didn't want to pull shock till I have one. Using bike now. I'm 236 -240 lbs (109 ish kg) no gear / gear 250+ ( 113-115 ish kgs) Quit racing 10 years ago and slower rider now just to get out, mainly single track, rock, desert goat trails, and tracks (vet) at times. I'm thinking 6.0 rear spring On 2017 Zokes 48mm CC forks I'm back and forth 48's or 50's (found local source for these, will run Beta Zoke 48mm CC PFP springs (470mm /44mm ID). Racetech moto setting says .48 /6.0 but Teknik GasGas calculator says 113kg = .49 /6.2 Better to go heavier on the spring, bump up to the 50kg or just go the 48's? I'm so limited on funds can't do more than springs right now, don't want to have to do valves. Plus, I need to find the spring for the Reiger. Currently I run the PFP at about 8 turns in and run the clicker on both ends at the sport recommendations. Thanks for nay help |

I just put a KYB spring on my 2014 but I have not tested it yet. I also remember hearing that Cannon Racecraft on Oklahoma had springs for them. Good luck!

Allthough not in the US, I have found Reiger to be very helpful. They charged me 80 Euro + VAt for a spring this summer. I was passing by, so I picked it up myself. But I have no doubts that they are willing to ship internationally.
I have Reiger springs on the shelf, I can provide measurements some time during this weekend. Regarding fork springs, you could mix and match, e.g. one 48 and one 50 to get an average of 49.

Since you said you're a slower rider now I would stick with .48's up front. Plus, you seem to have the PFP turned in way more than most. Most seem to like them at 1 or less turns in. I just set mine at the stock 2 turns in and have been happy with them but do plan to play around with it. Like you have found, the springs aren't hard to find for the Zoke 48's.
Sorry I can't help on the Reiger spring.

Yeah I was turning in the PFP just trying to tighten up the travel a bit before I started to look for springs. I have the Marzocchi Z-1 Bam’s on my singlespeed mountain bike and they have preload knob, figured it would work the same way. On my Singlespeed endup re-springing that one too. The shop said being I’m in the 250 (113kg) range with gear, No hydro pk (so more weight with that), and knowing the conditions (areas) I ride, they lean towards the 50’s and try a 5.8 rear and we’d swap to a 6.0 if can’t get it right. According to the Beta 2T chart , the Marzocchi .48’s max right at 250lbs and being the GasGas is 10-15 lbs heavier bike (pre 2018 300cc models) the though is the .50kgs will hold me higher in the stroke. I’m in Southern California and tend to ride the hardpack decomposing granite hills and higher elevation desert with rockier trails, not as sandy as the low desert here. Everything out here seems dry and hard, rutted, big hits. I use to race the Husky 570 before going back to 2T’s and my wheels would get trashed with this dry rock stuff. Also, what oil weight are you guys running on your forks. They say 7.5 weight, but hear a lot change to 5wt. |

My Reiger spring is 265mm long and has an inner diameter of 60.5mm give or take a few tenths of a mm.
