Default How best to bend brake fittings?

Hello,

I'd like to rotate my bars more forward, but if I then try to position the brake so it's comfortable to grab, I can't as the brake hose fitting hits the bar. By "fitting", I mean the crimped-on part of the brake hose. And it hits the bar at the crimp point (where the hose and the end join).

Can I safely bend the solid tubular part of the hose end to get the clearance I need? And if so, what's the best way to do it?

Follow-up: Doh! I clearly didn't think about the problem. It turns out that when I rotate the bars forward I actually rotate the controls *away* from the bars to maintain their same relative position. So there's no need to bend my brake hoses after all. 8-)

Thanks.

Dale
