Default Rake angle question

I have a 2004 MC 250 and a 2005 EC 250 (300).

I have always been under the impression that the rake angles were identical for these two machines. I know that the shocks are smaller (45mm) on the EC than on the MC (50mm).

Is there a difference in rake angle between the MC tripleclamp and the tripleclamp on the EC?

The rake is steeper on the '05 frame. The triple clamp has nothing to do with rake alone, its a function of the steering head position.

Is the rake the same on an 05-06 as the rake on an 07-08?

Default Steering head

The rake angle is in the frame, where the steering head is welded in... right?. The triple clamp has nothing to do with the rake angle... right?.

That tells me that the frames are different between the MC and EC models ?? It would make sense to have the different models (MC vs EC) with different rake angles. I would not expect to see the frames changing much from year to year.

Its not the EC vs. MC frame, its '04 vs. '05 frame. Same thing with the exception of the steering lock. Steering head angle was changed for '05. The forks are different and I'm not sure if the axel offset is the same but it probably is. Pretty sure the clamp offset is the same. Fork length the same? If the MC turns better its probably a matter of setup and stiffer springs. Look at the parts manuals and you can see the differences between the MC and EC.
