will the z start pro work in a 98 ec 250 the last yr rekluse shows is 2000 for as far back as they go

I would think so -I swapped the clutch and pressure plates from my 01 xc300 to my 99ec200 and they worked fine. The clutch basket appeared to be the same as well but the gear on it was different for the 200.
