Enjoyed the write up and the video, but in the vid. the battery tray was removed. Isn't that part of the structural integrity of the subframe?

Intresting about the rebound adjustment its faces out instead of forward. Mine faces foward and it sucks to adjust.

Somewhere my login info for the site got lost, so I had to re-register, now I look like a total noob.

Whimpy - not sure what your rebound reference is, can you explain?

About the battery box, good point, I had not thought about that. I will keep an eye on the subframe and see if I notice any issues.

I probably got a early version of the Olins shock, I was lucky enough to get my 12 in Feb. The adjuster for the rebound adjustment faces foward not to the side like in the photo you have of the linkage. You have to get to the adjustment with a long alen wrench, between the two likages. Not the end of the world but not easy to get too.

The battery box also includes a hook for the seat and provides support for the seat base ...

The updated box uses hex stand-offs into studs on the subframe that make it much easier to reattach than the first iteration.

When did an update for the box go out? Would this be different than what came on my 300 that was one of the first in country?
