Ohlins Shock/Zoke forks.
Anybody had one in the rocks with the proper springs for their weight yet? What did you think of the stock valving?
I am 6'3" 210 expert level. Just ran the bike in soft terrian with sand bumps last weekend at Sandy Lane Enduro in New Jersey. I had just put in .46 fork springs and a 5.6 shock spring and the bike felt really well balanced. The suspension was excellent and I had zero complaints in braking bumps, acceleration bumps, whoops, log crossings, and roots. Just not sure how she will handle nasty rocks if I spin the clickers in the right directions.
Anyone set one of these bikes up for rocks with the stock valving yet?

>.46 front 5.8 rear with stock valving. Nasty Nasty deflection on rocks! Same forks as on my Beta, for me i find them unridable in stock form.

i'm not a A rider, but i consider myself a mid to strong B level. i've been reading the fork debate threads. I've only got about 3 rides on my 11 ec300 so far-my forks seem to be pretty good so far in stock form! i set the clickers as per recommendations found here and went riding. pretty stable in sandy whoop sections,decent on hard rocky two tracks at decent speeds,and they seem to be getting better as they break in. i wont back myself into a corner here,but so far i think i'm liking the suspenders on this bike.

how much do you weight with no gear and what springs? I pick my bike up next week. Can you share some clicker/sag settings?

well!! i don't normally dilvulge my weight on the first date-but hey why not? I'm 195 lbs in my boxers in the am. geared up i'm approx 230 inc camelback and toolbelt,and gear. so far bike is just as i took it out of the crate. i haven't even had a chance to check the sag yet. clickers, i set mid range on everything as per a post i found on here. i know this sounds a little vague,but in my experience so far,i'm liking initial impressions with the suspension on this bike. i'm not an a level racer,but i can keep the big dogs in sight on most days.

Why do you want lighter springs?

The bike should have .42 front and 5.2 rear. I am 170 without gear, 195 geared up, and stock fork springs were too light for me based on rider sag etc. I run .46's up front and stock in the rear for now. Rider sag seems to be in line with what the experts say it should be.

Stock fork settings is 11 on rebound, 10 on compression. 110 oil height and likely 7.5 wt oil.

Stock shock is 30 clicks on rebound, 16 on compression. They don't give sag settings just a pre-load. I personally have no clue how that works so I set mine to 30mm static and 110mm rider. 25-40 and 100-115 is likely just fine. I am not an expert on suspension tuning though.

Right now I run 22-25 clicks on rebound on the shock and from 8-15 (depending on where I ride) on the low speed compression. 2 turns on the high speed compression.

Try stock settings and see what happens. Go 5 clicks either way to see what if any affect you feel. Fine tune from there a couple of clicks at a time.

I'm 150 without gear and we ride nothing but tight stuff, so I was thinking 4.0's and a 5.0 rear.

Sound like I need to stop bench racing this bike and wait and see how it goes after I pick it up next week.

Yes. I would not do anything until you ride it.

If the suspension is not quite right you can put 5wt oil in the forks and lower the oil height. On the shock, you can reduce the preload and mess with the clickers. The ohlins shock has a wide range of adjusment.
